dead leaves

top: H&M
skirt: zara
cardigan: forever 21
belt: primark

Not 100% sure about this now I've actually worn this. I like all the colours together but I can see how people might not like it. Maybe its the stripes thats throwing it off for me! Either way, its comfortable and easy to wear. I'm really opting for comfort dressing at the moment! I've also gone back to my old default clipped back hairstyle.

I spent the day in bed doing university work. I don't feel 100% at the moment. I think I'm either getting ill, Really hoping its not laryngitis though! I finished a information graphic I'd been working on earlier, and Im going to do another on Twitter and Youtube.

Sorry for a short and very blah post. This is probably going to be the only one this week as well as Im busy and working at New Look loads. Im out on Friday night for the first time in what feels like forever. I've got a cool dress from H&M but it makes my boobs look utterly ridiculous. I need a boob job. Badly. Ill try and take a photo at some point though!

  8. i really like the colour together here. it's not bland, but it's not too bright either. healthy medium :) the stripes are sweet, kind of tie it all together so it's not just GREEN WHITE ORANGE.

  58. hey lily

love your graphic, it's really effective. i'm not trying to pick on you but i think i found a little mistake, under the average user section.. where it says "users 4 applications a month", i think it should be "uses 4 applications a month"? unless that's how you intended it, but when i do design work for my architecture course, i get really pedantic over it and have to have everything as perfect as i can get it!

i look forward to seeing your other graphics!

and as for your boob problem, i'm at the other end of the scale in that mine are too big for wearing anything with a high neck, i end up with what i like to call cyclops boob, it looks terrible!! so you can be thankful that you don't have that problem

    get well soon lily!

  66. Hello from Canada!

Holy Moly, I just decided to look at your blog after seeing you on lookbook.nu for a year or so and am thrilled I did!

You have the same thoughts as me regarding tumblr (I think it's unoriginal and useless, a blog is meant to have WORDS in it). I love that you don't necessarily follow 'fashion') and that you aren't a stick figure (and are completely comfortable as you should be, you are a very beautiful girl).

Keep doing what you are doing, and I will keep reading! You inspire me to start up blogging again (but only if its interesting) and to just be myself, in everything I do.

    Thanks kid,

    -Madison

  70. Nice outfit! I'm a flat chested gal (32A or something, I don't know) and is used to bother me, but now I'm older I like it. But I prefer dressing a little androgynously, plus I do a lot of cycling. Having boobs seems like a burden because of back pain and unwanted male attention.

I was going to tweet you, but just wanted to say I love how real & down to earth you are. Some bloggers come across as really false & a bit stuck up, but you just say what you think. I admire you for that & I think that's why you have such a successful blog.

  79. It's so odd that you named this look "Dead leaves" and even on Lookbook where I originally found it- my friends think my skin tone is "dead leaf" in colour. How funny.

Also, things I love about this look/post:
    - that information graphic
    - your hair- it looks lovely just clipped back simply like that
    - the stripes add some detail to the outfit instead of it all just being block colours- so it definitely works for me
    - and the colour that that cardigan is- I adore that

    I'm not a fashion blogger, but I do have a Lookbook, and a Tumblr- http://www.lookbook.nu/thebrokenshe and http://www.insicuro.tumblr.com

If at all you do get in touch to reply to this or anything whatsoever, just use either of the two. Of course, I'm not presuming you ~will~ reply or anything at all- I realise you're busy and such.

Anyway, I hope you feel better soon. Lovely outfit, as per usual!
